Simon Nott

Chairman and Coach

Simon has been with Calne Running Club for over 17 years, taking over as Chairman from his Dad in 2009.

He is a competing athlete up to half marathon distance and has earned elite entries to several high level races such as the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2019 achieving a time of 1:07:12. His current 10K PB stands at 29:42. He enjoys competing both on and off road and has run at national level on several occasions, currently holding multiple course records across the county several times county 5K, 5 Mile, 10K, half marathon and cross country champion.

He has been a qualified UKA Coach in running fitness for over 26 years, is also a level 1 track official, endurance official, leader in running fitness and event adjudicator and is road race secretary for Wiltshire Athletic Association. Simon has a wealth of experience in the sport and is a well respected member of the running community.

Denise Nott

Head Coach

Denise. is a competing veteran athlete focussing on distances up to 10K. She has held 5K, 10K, half marathon county titles and has represented the county at many events during her running career up to national level. Her current 10K PB stands at 38:42 and 5K at 18:32. A member of Calne Running Club for 18 years, Denise is also a second claim member of the South West Vets Athletics club and competes at British Masters events.

Denise has been a Qualified UKA Coach. in Running fitness for over 16 years and has a wealth of experience and enthusiasm for the sport. She is a level 1 track official, endurance official, leader in running fitness and event adjudicator and also Chairman of Wiltshire Athletic Association and is a well known and respected member of the running community.

Celia Stevens

Secretary

Celia gives up a lot of her spare time to support many projects in and around Calne. From the Calne clean up crew to supporting the Town annual events. If you have any questions she will go out of her way to find you an answer.

Celia is the ‘go-to’ person for anything related to club membership.

Colin Woodward

Treasurer

Colin has been a member of the running club for many years and regularly takes part in Club championship events and races from 5K up to marathon distances (and a few more).

He has recently completed his 100th Marathon in 2024!

Philip Daniels

Male Club Captain

Philip has been running for over 14 years, raised over £2000 for charity and likes to sign up for as many different races as possible.

He can usually be found rallying club members to sign up for league races
